"Faux" Christmas

We enjoyed celebrating Christmas early this year the day before we left for Kauai.  I am so glad Santa made a special trip!  This was a wonderful day and felt like true Christmas to us. We usually spend Christmas day at my parents house, but this year we decided to have Christmas morning at our house.  We started with stockings and then a big breakfast when my parents and Jesi and Will came over.

Then, on to the main event, opening the presents...Check out our fabulous spray tans - don't we all look like we just got BACK from Hawaii?  LOVE it!

The only way I could get Holden to stay still for this picture was to bribe him with a toothbrush and toothpaste!

Daddy's little girl

Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Jesi and Uncle Will celebrated with us.

Holden gots lots of things with pull strings and hammers - he was thrilled.

Look what Santa brought Taya - a dog with a collar, leash and cage that Holden can't open...just what she asked for :)

My Grandma Bunny got the kids these amazing pop-up books...so cool!  And she made Holden a gorgeuos bear blanky.

My sister Jesi has been our nanny for 6 years and with her recent college graduation, her nanny days are quickly coming to an end.  We decided to make her a very special present to remember her time with us.  We made this great blanket - giraffe print on one side and the kids hand and feet prints with a message frm us on the other side.  Thanks to my mom for helping me make this - I could not have done it without her.

Dawson loves his new Gameboy - as do Will and Jason :)

Saving the best for last - my parents surprised us with a wedding photo book that they made in conjunction with the wedding DVD they gave us a month prior. When I was married (over 12 years ago) there were no digital photos and certainly no digital photo books. Now I can't imagine life without them. Having our own coffee table book made me feel like I have entered the current decade. Jason and I were both so touched. What a thoughtful gift. We loved all the photos and quotes they chose and will truly cherish this book.
