An update on Holden

Holden is growing up so fast. He is 18 months now and is a true toddler. He is quite active trying to keep up with his big brother and sister. It's pretty fun to see him interact with them. He seems so much older to me than my other two kids did at this age. He is a super smart little boy and knows some sign language that he uses to communicate with us - yes, no, more, all done, eat, thank you, please, help, drink, etc. I have taught all my kids sign language, but he seems to be the best at using it. Holden is really attentive and notices things, like when our nanny Linda hurt her arm, he knew she couldn't pick him up and put him on the changing table, so he would happily lay down on the floor for her. When she took off her splint - he pointed to her arm as if to ask where it was. Holden LOVES music - he is definitely our musical child. He dances by doing a little bounce when music comes on and loves to sing too. It's too cute.

His newest love is the camera. When I get the camera out, he runs over, poses and gives me a big smile. After I take the picture, he comes right over to look at it and then back to his position to take another one. Too funny! Here is my little poser...

Holden’s newest skill is feeding himself. He loves to try to stab his food with his fork or eat yogurt with a spoon. Here is his first attempt with yogurt….he has gotten a bit less messy since then :)

Too too cute. I see a little Uncle Joe in him. Maybe it's the eyes?
