Dawson's Graduation....

We took Dawson to Northstar for his first time skiing this season.  He loves the all day ski class and we love how much he improves each time.  This time he was able to officially graduate to level 4 - intermediate blue runs!

Dawson cracks me up. From the minute we get to the ski resort, he goes right for the snow and starts a snow ball fight. It's hard to keep him focused on walking into the ski resort because he just wants to make snow balls. Here he is getting ready for ski school with his snow ball all set.

My parents were in Tahoe with their friends the entire week, so we were able to meet them there and ski with them for the day.  I decided to take it up a notch and snowboard with the Big Dogs on the black diamonds.  I had a blast!  After 10 years snowboarding, I am finally really comfortable on black diamonds going fast.  I have snowboarded black diamonds before, but this year it has all come together where I am really comfortable on them.  My new boots have made a huge difference and I feel more confident going faster.  They make my board more responsive.  Plus, I think my running has built my leg muscles and given me more endurance.  I am really having a blast this season.  Now, I think it is time to break down and get a helmet.  Black diamonds + speed = helmet required...

We picked Dawson up early from class and spent an hour and a half skiing with him and we were able to go all over the mountain. He is pretty fast too! My mom said he has already caught up to her level :) We are so proud of him and so excited to ski with him.

I am excited to see him progress over the next few years.  He has a real love for skiing.  I wish I started at his age!

my WORD. Ya'll are the most perfectly hair-in-place, photogenic family.

The only time I ever saw you looking "comfy" Jen, was when you were on bedrest!
