Anyone who knows me knows I like competition - I am in sales :). So, when my friend Jacille called recently and said she needed some motivation to loose the baby weight, I said "me too"! It's either loose the baby weight or buy a whole new wardrobe for the summer - and I am just too cheap and think my summer clothes are too cute to buy a new wardrobe. So...a contest has been formed. It's a race to loose 20 pounds and the looser has to treat both couples to a night out on the town.
We started Monday and I have been super good about my diet - I am in "the zone". I am definitely an all or nothing person. So, I either eat really healthy and count my calories or I eat whatever I want including tons of treats. I have to be in the right frame of mind to diet and I appreciate Jacille for helping me get there. I haven't quite jumped on the exercise bandwagon - it has been a hectic week. But, I plan to start that tomorrow.
I did have a set back this week when the nurse told me to increase my calories so I could try to get my milk supply back to nurse Holden (see my last post). I was eating more calories since I was nursing, but she said I needed even more to get my milk supply built up again. But, after a day or two of that and Holden still refusing to nurse, I cut out the extra calories. So, even though I am sad about stopping nursing - I am happy I get to really diet now and cut back my calories more. (Did I just say I was happy to diet??? Yeah Right!)

There's nothing like the spirit of competition! Seriously though, good for you. Dieting is hard, just like having a baby is hard...but both are worth it. I'm still in the gaining phase, but in a few months I'll be in the same boat trying to lose that baby weight!
By the way, you look great! So don't be too hard on yourself!

Good luck. I have not found my motivation yet...
Good luck with that. I could lose a few pounds also but am horrible about watching what I eat. I have been exercising regularly recently so I'm happy about that.
What do you do for exercise? I've hit a plateau and need to kick it up a notch, dang it.
Good luck! You're welcome to come over and do P90x with me whenever you want! :)
