As the saying goes...all good things must come to an end. Today was Jesi’s last day as our nanny. Jessica, my younger sister, has been our nanny since Dawson was born – almost seven years ago. It has been a wonderful experience for all of us. The kids really don’t understand this has been her job. They just think she likes to come over and play with them…which is awesome. Jesi had to explain to the kids that she wouldn’t be seeing them during the day since she got a job at a store now (manager in training with Kohls). They had a hard time grasping the concept, but were happy to hear they will still be seeing plenty of their Aunt Jesi…at night! I have been on the verge of tears all day today. Although I have a wonderful nanny, Linda, that has been with us part time and will be taking over full time, Jesi is my sister and I will miss the daily interaction with her. I am so grateful for the years of service she has given our family and the wonderful second mother she has been to my children. I am sure they will always have a special bond with her.
We celebrated Jesi's last day by going out to eat at Plutos.
I love you Jesi. Thank you for everything you have done for us and good luck with your new career! We will miss you.
