Holden was ecstatic playing the piano for the first time. He would bang away and squeal with glee. I think this will be his new favorite pastime. I have never seen him smile so big and squeal so loud with excitement.
During lunch, my mom was telling my kids about my colorguard captain days in high school. They had a blast when I brought out my old flag and started spinning and tossing it. They each had a turn and actually made it look easy :)
More progress on the BBQ Island. I was very impressed with the boys today. They got the backer board complete, working electricity, running water...it's ready for rock sides and a granite top!
My mom and I worked on an organization project all day. We went through all the kids school stuff and all the other memorabilia I have gathered over the years and re-organized it into bins - one per child and a bin for cards and letters. Now I have to get everything into memory books. That's a project for a different day. We had an entire black bag of trash - I love organizing. Thanks Mom!

It looks good! I have the same boxes for my kids. It's easier to keep all their "stuff" into one area....
I have the same project in the works (the organizing) - I bought the bins and made the labels but haven't been through all my stuff to fill them yet. Looks like your bbq is coming along awesome.
That's funny! I organized yesterday too! Can't wait to see your finished outdoor kitchen. Keep the pics coming!
Yes, keep the pictures of the BBQ coming. Your mom is so awesome! Does she want to adopt me too? Do you have a label maker? I have been thinking about buying one. Do you like it?
Hey Laurie. I do have a label maker and I love it. I use it to label files and bins mostly. But, it keeps it looking tidy. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on one - but I think you can get them for pretty cheap. And, yes - my mom is great :)
The good ol' days! You were an awesome colorgaurd captain but us band geeks were sorry to lose you! Looks like your kids will follow in your footsteps!
