Getting Caught Up

I am so behind on blogging, so get ready for some blog posts the next few days to catch up. The last month has been very busy - family in town, a week trip to Monterrey and last week I taught seminary all week. Seminary....brutal. My mom is a seminary teacher and I have subbed for her a few times over the year. But, this is the first time I taught for a whole week. I was so exhausted all last week. I would be working and would close my eyes for a minute and wake up 10 minutes later realizing I had fallen asleep. I give a lot of credit to all the teenagers waking up at 5am to make it to seminary. I love my time in the evening after the kids go to bed to play on facebook, blog and watch TV and I just could not go to bed early last week with all the great season finales on. In addition to the lack of sleep, the class was hard to manage. It was the last week of seminary and they were "done". That combined with the sleep deprivation means I will not be accepting a seminary teacher calling anytime in my foreseeable future.

Other random updates - Holden is crawling, or more like scooting. He gets all over the place, but he mostly pulls himself with his arms and drags his body behind him. His form is still lacking, but it is too cute to watch. Also, I got my hair done on Friday - finally! I always wait until it looks ridiculously bad. My hairstylist straighted my naturally curly hair and I have got a ton of compliments. Which always makes me wonder - do people like it better or just different??? Your thoughts? I have enjoyed it the last few days - I just wish it were easier to do. It takes me 45-60 minutes and never looks as good as when the hairstylist does it. I guess I should practice more. But, alas, no time with a full time job and 3 kids....

I like your hair better curly but sometimes it's nice to do something different. I usually straighten my hair. It takes me forever to curl my hair so I only do it a few times a month.

I second what Rebecca said. I wouldn't straighten mine very often if it took me that long to do it. And I can't believe you made it through the week of teaching seminary. Maybe it's payback for our senior year of laying across the seats and hardly paying attention (or was that just me?)

You look fantastic with curly and straight hair! I'm jealous because I"ve always wanted curly hair.

I also like it both ways. I always think you are so gorgeous whenever I see you. Thanks again for the 'Spring into Fittness' day. We took a walk the other day and the sidewalk markings were still there... that was so awesome of you guys to do all of that.

You look beautiful no matter what, but I vote for CURLS!

I can't believe you subbed for seminary with everything else that you do. I don't think I could survive that!
